Public Programs

The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music offers many programs for the public. You can attend a concert, gain insights into performance from a masterclass, take a short course, enrol in single subjects through the CAP and Master of Music Studies (Intensive Mode) programs, and find musicians for your wedding or function. We’ve got something for everyone!

Concerts: The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music presents many concerts throughout the year, including orchestra performances, lunch hour concerts, recitals and other special events.

Short Courses & Workshops: Courses are offered for musicians of all ages and levels of experience, from senior secondary students to professionals and music teachers. Short courses give you the opportunity to experience the excellence and innovation of the Melbourne Conservatorium, with all courses taught by experienced, dedicated staff.

Youth Programs: Workshops, masterclasses and intensives specifically designed for school-aged musicians.

Master of Music Studies Intensive Modules: For music professionals in educational organisations who wish to enhance their expertise in ways directly relevant to their work. The program is designed to fill a need for specialist qualification at the professional level for those who hold music positions and seek further advancement.

CAP (Community Access Program): The Community Access Program (CAP) opens up study opportunities so that everyone has a chance to enrol in a single subject study and experience the benefits of expert tuition at the University of Melbourne.
